Boards & Bevies - Holiday Entertaining with Stonewall Kitchen

Have you ever tasted something so delicious, that it instantly inspires a million different recipes? This has been my experience with Stonewall Kitchen Products.

For the past 6 months I have had the great pleasure of developing recipes and entertaining ideas with Stonewall Kitchen's gorgeous line of products. If you know me you know that I am very choosy about the products I work with and promote. Quality & Value are paramount - Stonewall has this in spades.

Our most recent workshop was Boards & Bevies. Using Classic Cocktails, Retro Canapés and a 7 foot Charcuterie and Cheese station, we showed a very talented group of ladies just how versatile these gorgeous products are.

Stonewall Kitchen makes a brilliant line of pickled veg, olives and jellies that add a perfect balance to any cheese and charcuterie board. The brightness of flavour and acidity in these products cut the richness of the meats and cheeses while adding beautiful, vibrant flavours to mix.

The best part? The jars are pretty enough to go straight on the table! They are the perfect size and the attractive branding fit on perfectly!

My favourites are:

- Crunchy Carrots

- Pickled Baby Cucumbers

- Hot & Spicy Dilly Beans

- Pickled Asparagus

We even used these gorgeous pickled veg as garnishes on a DIY Caesar Bar!

Next up were the Classic Canapés

I used the Hot Pepper Peach Jam to make an awesome Coconut Shrimp & Roasted Garlic Onion Jam to Make Cows in a Quilt (the Beef version of Pigs in Blanket) . Both of these jellies were also featured on our Cheese & Charcuterie board.

Stonewall Kitchen also has a gorgeous line of preserved cherries. Their Bourbon Bada Bing Cherries are perfect for a Manhattan or Old Fashioned. A new trick that I had fun with was adding a tablespoon of juice from the jar to my ice cube tray, then adding a cherry to each. Once frozen you have cocktail cubes that as they melt add a bit more cherry flavour to the drink! These cherries are also perfect for desserts... think Black Forest or Cheery Cheese Cakes.

As someone who lives in an open concept loft, I don't have room for a ton of things in my pantry. The products I use have to have multipurpose. What I learned while testing for this workshop was that these products are as versatile as they are delicious. I love that the jars are attractive enough to go on display with my food, this saves me a step and dishes. As I prepare for all the entertaining and hosting the holidays will bring, I want to serve my loved ones the very best and I also want to make things stress free. Choosing Stonewall Kitchen allows me to cross both of these things off my list!
